Three Rivers

Located in the west central section of St. Joseph County, Three Rivers offers small town charm with turn-of-the-century historical influences. The city of Three Rivers earned its name from the confluence of the St. Joseph River with its tributaries the Rocky and Portage River. Three Rivers offers many recreational opportunities including hiking and traversing one of the many rivers including the popular Rocky River. Downtown Three Rivers has retained its historic look and many buildings in the area are on the National Historical Register including the Silliman House which overlooks the St. Joseph River. It is also home to St. Gregory’s Abbey, a Benedictine monastery of the Episcopal Church that was established in 1946.
